Trama:
Sakamoto Ryūta è un ventiduenne disoccupato che vive con la madre. Nella vita di tutti i giorni il ragazzo non è nessuno, ma online, è uno dei più forti combattenti del videogioco Btooom!. Un giorno, Ryuta si sveglia su quella che apparentemente sembra un’isola tropicale, benché non abbia alcun ricordo di come sia finito lì. Scorgendo qualcuno in lontananza chiama aiuto, ma per tutta risposta lo straniero gli lancia una bomba addosso. Ryota si rende contro di essere finito in qualche modo intrappolato in una versione reale del gioco Btoom!, e quindi dovrà fare tutto il possibile per sopravvivere.
